What's wrong with having Honey Nut Cheerios or any other cereal for breakfast while on a diet?
I'm on a diet and for breakfast every morning I have cereal. This morning I had Honey Nut Cheerios. People are saying I should feel guilty about that, and that cereal consists of "empty calories". Is this true? Is eating cereal really that bad for you?
all i meant was that you basically ate all carbs for the day. this wont satisfy you and you will end up feeling hungry sooner compared to if you ate a balanced meal/diet. the right proteins help keep you full and provide nutrition for your body while cereals like honey nut cheerios wont keep you as satisfied. some cereals and bars are loaded with high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils (aka trans fat) and preservatives. the healthier option would be eggs/egg whites with whole wheat toast, toast with natural peanut butter, milk, cottage cheese with fruit. a balance of carbs and proteins.
