Trabzon City - Real Estate
TRABZON'S CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT
Trabzon, where known history goes back 4000 years ago, has been one of the rare cities that attracted the interest of whole world at all stages of the history. Its geographical importance, its location at a transition point, hosting different civilizations are the leading factors making Trabzon an important city. Such a city having a long history should also have a colorful cultural life. "Urban culture" is being reflected by Trabzon for years. Trabzon as the commercial and administrative center, show that the city has a live and ongoing cultural background with educational-cultural-commercial centers established centuries ago.
We are able to see the existence of cultural institutions in many historic documents about Trabzon, improving further after the conquest in 1461 by Great Turkish Sultan Fatih Sultan Mehmet. After the declaration of the republic, in Trabzon, where people are defined as "smart, productive, entrepreneur and hardworking" by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, many efforts have been done, high importance has been given to the educational and cultural movements.
Trabzon being visited by world's famous travelers, for centuries, has attracted the attention of the whole world. From Xenophon to Evliya Çelebi, from Fallmerayer to Frunze, hundreds of travelers visited Trabzon and transmitted their thoughts to documents called "travel books" where the main meeting point is that Trabzon "with mysterious nature, geographical location, its being an important trade and cultural center in its relations with Central Asia, Caucasus, the Far East, Middle East" is an essential city.
TRABZON CULTURAL INSTITUTIONS
All residential units have schools, besides Trabzon is very rich in terms of libraries and cultural centers giving in the color of cultural life. In Trabzon, there are all educational institutions required from primary school to higher education levels. One of 17 provinces of the Ottoman Empire, Trabzon has witnessed an intense cultural development after the conquest. At this development in the role of the libraries is important. We want to talk about our libraries in the historical course:
Saraçzade Library: Saraçzade Mustafa Efendi founded it in 1762. It is at the top floor of the small mosque facing Ortahisar Mosque.

In this library, which is located adjacent to Ortahisar Mosque in the west direction, there were important works. During the invasion of Trabzon, director of Russian classics museum Prof. İnavovitch Ouspenski, transfered 497 books to Russia.
Ortahisar Library: the Governor of Trabzon Treasurer Osmanpaşa opened it in 1842, at the east side of Ortahisar Mosque.
Hatuniye Library: It was planned to be openedby the Governor of Trabzon Treasurer Osmanpaşain 1844, however after his death his brother, Abdullah Paşa, founded it.

Books have been given as gifts to the library founded to unite people of Trabzon around the idea of national struggle and it has been enriched.

Trabzon Türkocağı Library: first, in order to ensure that young people do not spend their free time at coffee houses, Türk Ocağı established Children's Library in 1925 in Trabzon. Librarianship activities of Türk Ocağı, which aims to strengthen the national consciousness, continued with this purpose.

Is my turkish coffee stale?
I looked around on the internet and found that Mehmet Efendi is the most recommended brand of coffee. I have the correct pot and have made the coffee several times with different measurements, but it just doesn't taste right. This is the first time in several years I have had turkish coffee, and maybe my memory doesn't serve me, but this just doesn't taste right. Did I get a bad batch, maybe? It has a strong taste I can only describe as tap water magnified, mixed with some burnt coffee taste.
It is recommended to not use tap water when making coffee, but also to not use distilled water. Spring water is best.
Turkish coffee is made with a particular type of kettle, and by brewing with sugar. Make sure you are using a good quality sugar, and the right amount.
And lastly, make sure your coffee is fresh. ALWAYS buy whole bean. There are still reactions occuring after the coffee is roasted, and its best to leave them in bean form until you are ready to brew. Often, the coffee you buy online is already stale. Coffee goes bad after 1-2 weeks. If you had turkish coffee it was probably at a specialty shop, and was extremely fresh.
I would change your water source, use pure cane sugar, and try to find fresher coffee. Most towns have a local coffee roaster, go to him and get some REALLY fresh beans. If not, try roasting them yourself! Its pretty easy and has great results. go to sweetmarias.com for more info.
