I am trying to cook beef steak. Is there any way that i can soften the meat using natural ingredients?
Using either a knife or fork, put lots of "holes" into the meat. What this does is cut/break the tendons and tough fibers thus giving the meat a more tender texture once cooked. Also, with tougher meat, the longer you cook it, the more tender it gets. Season whatever you like, that is more for flavor than tendorizing. A store bought tendorizer is nothing more than an enzyme which causes the breakdown of tissues, hence more tender meat. The knife/fork method I use does exactly the same without adding anything to the food.
